I have a Building Block that has been installed on a load balanced installation of Blackboard Learn. 50% of the time it runs just fine while the other 50% generates an error.

The starnge thing is that the same Building Block never generates any errors when installed on a one server Blackboard installation.

This Building Block accesses an external Webservice. I wonder if there are some permission settings that I am missing.

Is there an error happening on one server or on both?  Is your content directory shared between both systems.  Can you include the stack trace?

I have seen this problem occasionally. It hasn't happened often enough for me to put the finger on it. But making the Building Block inactive and then available again usually cure the problem for me.

Could be some caching somewhere.
