Hi,

If an institution has Blackboard Learn hosted remotely by Blackboard themselves, is it possible for a deployed

building block to make outbound database connections from the Blackboard server to either an Oracle or MSSQL instance

located back at the institution.

Yes.   You will just need to establish the right security permissions for the network in the b2 manifest.  You may need to contact your MH TSM to setup VPN or open specific ports.

We've also seen in one specific instance where the root certificate on the MH server had to be updated.
